StayFi introduces channel-specific control over the WiFi experience
It is not every day a $100 billion company uses their immense market power to target your small business in all but name.
StayFi is the only widely used WiFi portal in short-term rentals. So when a platform rewrites its rules to restrict WiFi portals, there’s really only one company that rule is about.
We’re responding by giving hosts channel-specific control over the WiFi experience. But the bigger story isn’t us. Dominant platforms will keep using their position to squeeze the businesses that depend on them.
If you think 15.5% is the last word on commissions, look at hotels. Once “voluntary” discount programs are counted, the major OTAs take anywhere from 18% to 35%.
That’s why we’re building StayFinder, our own AI-first direct-booking OTA, launching before the end of the year.
Most new booking sites fail the same way: plenty of listings, no travelers. We don’t start from zero. Hundreds of thousands of guests around the world already use StayFi when they stay at vacation rentals. StayFinder will show them and AI agents every price option for a listing side by side, so they can see exactly what booking direct saves them.
Listing will be free for property managers. Sign up and we’ll reach out once your PMS is supported: https://lnkd.in/gCW84Ejx
Operators can now customize the guest WiFi portal experience based on the booking channel the guest used.
