I lead a passionate team creating the short-term rental industry’s first community-building and education platform. I discovered my hospitality and entrepreneurial genes through becoming an STR host in 2013. Before my retirement from hosting in 2019, I was honored to be named one of the Top 100 Hosts in the world for consistency and guest satisfaction. Early in my hosting journey, an incident with loud guests inspired me to create NoiseAware, a “smoke detector for noise.” Through this work, I met thousands of passionate STR owners, hosts, and managers who wanted to build communities for their fellow local STR professionals but lacked the tools or systems to do so. In 2019, with my co-founder, Alexa Nota, we decided to take the lead in creating the industry’s first community-building and education platform. That platform is Rent Responsibly. I believe in win-win-wins, big tents, and welcoming everyone to the proverbial table.
