Stewart Butterfield is a Canadian entrepreneur, designer, and technologist best known for co-founding Flickr and Slack. He served as CEO of Slack Technologies until January 2023, leading the company through rapid growth and its acquisition by Salesforce in 2021. Butterfield holds a BA (Hons.) in Philosophy from the University of Victoria and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge.
